Fare un modello commestibile di DNA:<\/strong><br>Preparare uno spazio di lavoro, per esempio un tavolo, che deve essere pulito e abbastanza grande per costruire un&#8217;elica. Raccogliete i materiali necessari: stuzzicadenti, caramelle di 4 colori e bastoncini di liquirizia. (Ci sono molti cibi che possono essere usati per costruire il modello &#8211; \u00e8 importante che i dolci siano morbidi in modo da poterci infilare uno stuzzicadenti e che siano di colori diversi. Si possono usare gelatine, marshmallows popolari o gelatine. Per un&#8217;opzione pi\u00f9 sana del modello DNA, tagliate a pezzi quattro tipi di frutta, per esempio fragole, banane, uva e ananas).<br>Codificare le caramelle &#8211; ogni colore di caramella rappresenta una delle sostanze chimiche che compongono il codice del DNA: guanina, adenina, citosina e timina. \u00c8 importante decidere quali dolci (o frutta) rappresentano un particolare componente del DNA prima di costruire il modello, poich\u00e9 si combinano in un modo particolare.<br>Cominciate a combinare i dolci (o la frutta). Usate degli stuzzicadenti per accoppiare le caramelle o la frutta. Infilare uno stuzzicadenti attraverso due marshmallows in modo che siano saldamente collegati.<br>Ricorda che in natura ci sono solo due combinazioni possibili &#8211; la guanina si combina con la citosina e l&#8217;adenina con la timina.<br>Su uno stuzzicadenti, schiacciare i marshmallows vicini tra loro in modo che ci sia ancora molto spazio alle estremit\u00e0 per attaccare la liquirizia. Ripeti questo processo per fare almeno 6 coppie di basi. Dovresti avere almeno un esempio di ogni tipo di coppia di basi.<br>Prendete degli stuzzicadenti di marshmallow e infilate le loro punte nella liquirizia. I bastoncini di liquirizia sono lo scheletro, che collega le schiume in un unico filamento di DNA. Si dovrebbe mirare a formare una scala con i marshmallows attaccati parallelamente l&#8217;uno all&#8217;altro. Se non volete usare la liquirizia potete collegare i marshmallows tra loro con degli stuzzicadenti. Inserire lo stuzzicadenti nella parte superiore del marshmallow e l&#8217;altra estremit\u00e0 nella parte inferiore del marshmallow. Ripetere questo processo fino a quando tutti i marshmallows sono collegati.<br>Attorcigliare la liquirizia. Una volta che tutti i marshmallows che sembrano una scala sono collegati, attorcigliare la liquirizia in modo che sembri una &#8216;doppia spirale&#8217; o una scala a chiocciola. Questa \u00e8 la forma che prende il DNA nel mondo reale.<br>Controlla che il modello di DNA sia strutturato correttamente. Ricordate che l&#8217;ordine delle coppie di basi \u00e8 importante, forma il codice che dice al corpo come lavorare. Pensate ai due legami come a un codice binario &#8211; un sistema di zeri (0) e uno (1) che dice al computer cosa fare.<br>Confrontare il DNA. Se i bambini hanno fatto dei modelli di DNA in gruppo, chiedete loro di confrontare il loro lavoro. Attira la loro attenzione sulle differenze tra i fili. Ricorda ai bambini che un vero gene umano pu\u00f2 avere fino a 2 milioni di coppie di basi, facendo s\u00ec che i filamenti immagazzinino una quantit\u00e0 incredibile di informazioni che rendono ogni persona del gruppo unica e diversa dai suoi simili.<br>Notate la spina dorsale del DNA, in questo caso la liquirizia. \u00c8 facile da dimenticare perch\u00e9 non memorizza alcuna informazione (come fanno le basi), ma forma la struttura responsabile della struttura del DNA.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><br><strong>3.
