Si mostrer\u00e0 ai bambini\/ragazzi, il materiale che servir\u00e0 per fare l\u2019esperimento. Si parler\u00e0 ai bambini dell\u2019acqua, delle sue propriet\u00e0 e trasformazioni<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>2. Noi ci faremo un esperimento cos\u00ec chiamato: \u201cOsservando il ghiaccio!\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>3. L\u2019esperimento servir\u00e0 ad indagare meglio la purezza nei liquidi.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><br><strong>Attivit\u00e0:<\/strong><br>L\u2019insegnante spiegher\u00e0 agli alunni l\u2019esperimento. Successivamente l\u2019insegnante divide la classe in piccoli gruppi. A ciascuno consegna diverse soluzioni (Es: acqua distillata, acqua gassata&#8230;) per l\u2019esperimento. Quindi chieder\u00e0 agli alunni di lavorare in gruppo. Ciascun gruppo utilizzer\u00e0 il proprio materiale.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Materiale:<\/strong><br>Acqua di rubinetto, acqua gasata commerciale, acqua deionizzata come quella che si usa per il ferro da stiro, formine per i ghiaccioli, freezer, fornelletto, pentolina, pellicola trasparente per conservazione alimenti.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Istruzioni:<\/strong><br><strong>Fase 1<\/strong><br>Prendere le formine per i ghiaccioli e riempirle con acqua del rubinetto ed acqua gassata. Dopodich\u00e9 prendere l\u2019acqua deionizzata e metterla a riscaldare nella pentolina fino quasi a aggiungere l\u2019ebollizione, cio\u00e8 la formazione di bollicine.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Fase 2<\/strong><br>Fare raffreddare l\u2019acqua deionizzata bollita e poi versarla nelle formine per i ghiaccioli. Coprire con la pellicola trasparente queste formine per evitare che impurit\u00e0 quali la polvere si depositino sull\u2019acqua.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Fase 3<\/strong><br>Attendere la formazione dei ghiaccioli e poi estrarli. Si potr\u00e0 notare che i pi\u00f9 opachi sono quelli formati dall\u2019acqua gassata, mentre quelli formati con acqua di rubinetto saranno meno opachi, quelli generati dall\u2019acqua deionizzata bollita saranno quasi trasparenti.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Fase 4<\/strong><br>Si passa alla spiegazione di questo diverso comportamento. Maggiori sono le impurezze presenti nell\u2019acqua pi\u00f9 il ghiaccio che otteniamo \u00e8 opaco. L\u2019acqua gassata \u00e8 la pi\u00f9 impura perch\u00e9 oltre ai sali minerali, contiene grosse quantit\u00e0 di gas in essa disciolto: essa \u00e8 ricca di anidride carbonica disciolta e il ghiacciolo formato \u00e8 completamente opaco. L\u2019acqua di rubinetto produce ghiaccioli meno opachi perch\u00e9 non \u00e8 presente il gas disciolto come impurit\u00e0. I ghiaccioli ottenuti dall\u2019acqua deionizzata bollita sono i pi\u00f9 trasparenti perch\u00e9 l\u2019acqua non contiene sali minerali ed il processo di ebollizione ha ulteriormente eliminato i gas in essa eventualmente disciolti. Si pu\u00f2 notare che le opacit\u00e0 residue tendono a concentrarsi verso il centro del ghiacciolo ove anche si osservano delle fratture. Questo perch\u00e9 il processo di solidificazione avviene dall\u2019esterno verso l\u2019interno. Infatti l\u2019acqua liquida rimane intrappolata via via verso il centro ghiaccio e quando solidifica, aumentando il volume, provoca la rottura del ghiaccio. &#8211; Fase 5 Si pu\u00f2 proporre agli alunni di ripetere l\u2019esperimento cambiando alcuni punti. Per esempio si pu\u00f2 vedere la differenza tra i ghiaccioli ottenuti con acqua deionizzata bollita e non. Allo stesso modo si pu\u00f2 vedere come i ghiaccioli ottenuti dall\u2019acqua di rubinetto che sia stata preventivamente agitata in un contenitore tipo quelli per cocktail produce ghiaccioli pi\u00f9 opachi di quando non viene agitata: questo perch\u00e9 l\u2019agitazione facilit\u00e0 il mescolamento dell\u2019aria nell\u2019acqua. Si pu\u00f2 altres\u00ec aggiungere del sale da cucina all\u2019acqua (qualunque essa sia) e vedere come l\u2019opacit\u00e0 dei ghiaccioli prodotti aumenti con la quantit\u00e0 di sale disciolto. Si pu\u00f2 quindi passare a chiedere agli alunni se si aspettano che un lago ghiacciato sia pi\u00f9 limpido delle distese di ghiaccio al Polo Nord. In effetti ci sono dei laghi in Svezia in cui l\u2019acqua \u00e8 talmente pura che quando si ghiaccia si possono vedere i pesci nuotare sotto la lastra di ghiaccio che \u00e8 spessa circa 10cm.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><br><strong>Conclusioni:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Alla fine dell\u2019esperimento l\u2019insegnante proporr\u00e0 ad ogni gruppo di fare delle fotografie dell\u2019esperimento per documentare l\u2019attivit\u00e0 ed eventualmente preparare un cartellone. Inoltre dopo aver discusso insieme all\u2019insegnante dell\u2019esperimento ciascun bambino all\u2019interno del proprio gruppo documenter\u00e0 nel proprio quaderno l\u2019esperimento svolto.
