Per cosa possiamo usarlo? Dove teniamo i ghiaccioli e i gelati? Perch\u00e9? (Li congeliamo nel freezer per non farli sciogliere). Cosa succede quando si mangia un ghiacciolo in una giornata di sole? (Il calore fa sciogliere il ghiaccio). In che stato \u00e8 il ghiaccio? (Un solido)<br>In che stato \u00e8 quando viene sciolto? (Un liquido)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><br>2. Mostra agli studenti alcuni dei materiali raccolti per l&#8217;esperimento e fai una discussione di classe su quali tipi di materiali pensano possano essere utili per aiutare a fermare lo scioglimento del ghiaccio, annotando le idee con una mappa mentale sulla lavagna.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><br><strong>La scienza che c&#8217;\u00e8 dietro:<\/strong><br>Il calore \u00e8 un tipo di energia e si sposta da un oggetto pi\u00f9 caldo a uno pi\u00f9 freddo.<br>Gli isolanti sono materiali che sono poveri nel lasciar passare l&#8217;energia termica. Gli isolanti sono bravi a non far sciogliere il ghiaccio.<br>I conduttori sono l&#8217;opposto: sono bravi a lasciar passare l&#8217;energia termica. I conduttori faranno sciogliere il ghiaccio pi\u00f9 velocemente.<br>Il foglio di alluminio \u00e8 un ottimo isolante &#8211; il ghiaccio avvolto nel foglio di alluminio si scioglier\u00e0 pi\u00f9 lentamente.<br>L&#8217;ovatta e il pluriball sono anche buoni isolanti.<br>Poich\u00e9 le pentole sono fatte di metallo (conduttori di calore), faranno sciogliere il ghiaccio pi\u00f9 velocemente.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>2. Date ad ogni gruppo un foglio di carta, chiedendo loro di pianificare, progettare e disegnare il loro aggeggio.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>3. Chiedete agli alunni di spiegare il ragionamento che sta dietro al loro progetto e discutete in classe.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>4. Dare agli alunni il tempo di creare i loro aggeggi, selezionando i materiali come richiesto.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>5. Quando tutti i marchingegni sono pronti, chiedete agli alunni di prevedere quale marchingegno pensano funzioner\u00e0 meglio per impedire al cubetto di ghiaccio di sciogliersi.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>6. Poi date ad ogni gruppo un cubetto di ghiaccio e chiedete agli alunni di osservare i cubetti \u2013 notando che si scioglie prima\/ultima ecc.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>7. Discutere i risultati come classe, informando gli alunni della scienza che c&#8217;\u00e8 dietro (*vedi punto 1 sopra).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>8.
